SUMMER CAMP

Image
Young Ecclesia Nation is a Christian movement started in 2015 by founder, Odudu-Abasi Essien. Fueled by a passion for teenagers, God called him to reach out to them using the supernatural power of God and the simplicity of the word in the way young audiences can relate to. He has since led many teenagers to Christ and seen God use him to  heal, deliver, teach and empower many teenagers in different schools in Nigeria and other parts of the world where through young disciples of the ministry, fellowships have been planted and multiplication has been the order of the day. We believe in the potential of young people to know and embrace God fully at an early age and effectively carry His love, wisdom and power to their contemporaries. Children in many churches are sidelined and seen as unable to handle the things of God and therefore remain confused and rebellious towards God. We seek to change that belief and show the world that the future of Christianity is the young people. ...

ASSURANCE OF SALVATION

Image
 1. WHAT HAPPENED TO ME WHEN I RECEIVED SALVATION?  a) My Sins Were Remitted. When you remit money to someone else; it means the money is gone. It is no longer yours. Remission means the sin is wiped and blotted out; it is forgotten (Isaiah 43:25), (Heb.10:16-18). In remission, sins are forgiven, erased and forgotten. This could only happen by the death of Jesus which was the payment for sins (Romans 6:23). He has paid for suns past, present and future. There is nothing to pay for anymore.  b) I Was Justified, declared not guilty. Justification is the opposite of condemnation (Rom 3: 24). The case against me was thrown out and I stand before God as though I never sinned. Infact, there is no record of sin against me ever again because Jesus paid the full price so I stand before God innocent, guiltless, not condemned and can never be (Romans 8:1). c) I Was Recreated (2 Cor. 5:17), (Jn 3:3-7). Regeneration means to recreate. That means a new creature was born or cr...

Reading the Bible without confusion

Image
Have you ever been confused by a Bible teaching that seemed contrary to something else in the Bible? Have you ever read a scripture that seemed to contradict another scripture?   Paul said that the entire Bible is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness (2 Tim 3:16). But he also said that we need to “rightly divide the word of truth” (2 Tim 2:15). We divide the word whenever we emphasize one scripture over another. So how do we divide the word rightly? In essence there are two questions we should ask when reading any scripture in the Bible: (i) What does this passage mean in light of the finished work of the cross? And (ii) who is the writer writing to or about? The filter of the cross To hear some people preach today you might conclude that the cross was of no significance. In truth, Jesus’ death on the cross is the single most important event in human history. Before the cross the old law covenant reigned. But after the cross a new cove...

CHRISTIAN DEVOTION

Image
After being born again, a Christian now becomes a son of God. The one who is born again has his human spirit recreated with the life of God. This life needs to be sustained by staying connected with God and by feeding on His word. In our daily devotions, we are strengthened and encouraged to be as God wants us to. POINTS FOR DISCUSSION 1.  WHAT IS CHRISTIAN DEVOTION? Christian devotion is an art of bringing out time to stay with God alone. Devotion involves praise and worship, the study of God’s word, meditation and prayer. (Psalm 27:4-5). 2.  WHY SHOULD I HAVE DAILY DEVOTION? • You should have daily devotion because God commanded it for our good (Proverbs 4: 20-23, Joshua 1:8). • Devotion is the key to getting closer to God. • Christianity is a relationship and in every relationship, spending time together isrequired. • It helps you grow to a mature believer. • You get to hear God and and know what to do about stuff in your life. 3.  WHAT ARE THE REASON...

Bearing the mark of christ

Image
Paul replied, "Short time or long — I pray God that not only you but all who are listening to me today may become what I am, except for these chains." (Acts 26:29 NIV). Bearing the mark of Christ goes beyond being called a “Christian”, obeying certain codes and written laws, participating in ordinances and belonging to a body of believers. The mark of Christ is a seal made by the blood of the perfect Passover lamb upon the forehead of all who believe and are called according to the wonderful purpose of Christ (Rev 14:1-2) 1. Self-denial (Phi 3:7-8 ) You will have to come to a point where you take a decision to either live for or against Christ. It is either you are here or there and you can never be in between.  2. Have an Encounter (Exo 3:1-6) You can only come to know who you belong to by having an encounter with the person. Before you can bear the mark of Christ, you will need to have an encounter with him.  3. Total trust, belief and Obedience in the power of Christ (Ge...

Are you Born Again?

Image
Too many today have already accepted that to be born again is to become a committed member of a particular church. To be a pastor, to open a church. Or worse of them is to think that by participating financially in the church business gives you a strong ground to be born again. And then there are these particular group who feels that since they have been certified by the eyes of men to look born again, they are born again. I will simply ask you again if you are born again. To be born again doesn't mean you have stopped doing all the wrong things you use to do. Now you are a good nice person. It's a gift of God which is given in the most foolish and weak method of exports. If you continue to reason with your finite mind you may never realise this gift of eternal Life. It's living forever with your creator. To be empowered to become the son of God Almighty. You can't just become a child of God Almighty by your decision. I said it's a gift and you are to recei...
